This Copyright / DMCA Policy applies to www.gotorex.com, an international multi-seller marketplace operated from South Africa.

Gotorex respects copyright and other intellectual-property rights and expects sellers, customers and other users of the marketplace to do the same.
Important: The DMCA is a United States law. Because Gotorex operates internationally, this Policy also provides a general copyright reporting process for rights holders worldwide. Where another country's mandatory copyright law applies, Gotorex will follow the applicable legal requirements.
1. Prohibited Copyright Infringement
Users and sellers may not upload, sell, reproduce, distribute, display or otherwise use copyrighted material without the necessary rights or legal authorisation.
This includes, for example:
- Pirated software;
- Unauthorised copies of books or publications;
- Unauthorised films, music or other media;
- Stolen photographs;
- Copied artwork or graphics;
- Unauthorised product descriptions;
- Copyright-infringing digital products; and
- Other material that infringes copyright.
2. Seller Responsibility
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, licences or permissions to use content uploaded to Gotorex.
This includes:
- Product photographs;
- Videos;
- Product descriptions;
- Logos and artwork;
- Software;
- Digital products;
- Marketing material; and
- Other copyrighted content.
Sellers must not assume that content found online is free to copy or use.
3. Copyright Complaint
A copyright owner or authorised representative who believes content on Gotorex infringes their copyright may submit a complaint to:
For a DMCA notice concerning content located in the United States, the notice should contain the information required by applicable U.S. law, including:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and sufficient information to locate it;
- Contact information for the complaining party;
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, where required, that the complainant is authorised to act for the copyright owner; and
- The complainant's physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete notices may delay investigation or action.
4. Investigation & Action
After receiving a sufficiently detailed complaint, Gotorex may investigate the reported material.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, Gotorex may:
- Temporarily restrict the listing;
- Remove or disable access to the reported material;
- Contact the seller or uploader;
- Request evidence of ownership or authorisation;
- Restrict transactions involving the reported material;
- Suspend a seller or user; or
- Take other appropriate action.
Gotorex may also act on suspected infringement discovered independently of a formal complaint.
5. Seller Response / Counter-Notice
Where applicable, a seller or user whose content has been removed may submit a response explaining why the removal was incorrect.
For a DMCA counter-notification, the response should contain the information required by applicable U.S. law, including identification of the removed material, the required statements concerning good-faith belief and consent to applicable federal court jurisdiction, and the required signature.
Where the DMCA applies, Gotorex may restore content in accordance with the applicable statutory procedure after receiving a valid counter-notification, unless the copyright owner takes the legally required further action.
6. Repeat Infringers
Gotorex may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts of users or sellers who repeatedly infringe copyright.
Serious or deliberate infringement may result in immediate enforcement where permitted by law.
7. Trademark, Patent & Other Rights
This Policy primarily concerns copyright.
Reports concerning trademarks, patents, designs, counterfeit products or other intellectual-property rights may also be submitted to:

8. False or Abusive Complaints
Copyright complaints must be submitted in good faith.
Knowingly submitting materially false or misleading information may result in account restrictions or other appropriate action where permitted by law.
9. International Copyright Complaints
Copyright laws differ between countries.
A copyright complaint from outside the United States should identify:
- The applicable country or jurisdiction;
- The copyrighted work;
- The allegedly infringing material;
- Evidence of ownership or authority to act;
- The reason the material is believed to infringe; and
- Contact information for the rights holder or authorised representative.
Gotorex will assess international complaints according to applicable law and the circumstances of the matter.
10. Seller Content Licence
Sellers retain ownership of intellectual property they legally own.
By uploading content to Gotorex, sellers grant Gotorex a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, format, adapt and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, advertise and promote the marketplace and the seller's listings.
Sellers confirm that they have the necessary rights to grant this licence.
This licence does not transfer ownership of the seller's intellectual property to Gotorex.
11. Customer Content
Customers may submit reviews, photographs, videos and other content.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring that their submissions do not infringe another person's copyright or other rights.
Gotorex may remove or restrict content that violates applicable law or marketplace policies.
12. Copyright Complaints Concerning Products
A rights holder may report a product itself where the product, packaging, digital content or accompanying material is allegedly infringing.
Gotorex may request evidence such as:
- Proof of copyright ownership;
- Registration information where applicable;
- Authorisation to act;
- Comparison between the original and reported material;
- Seller information; and
- Other supporting evidence.
Gotorex may investigate the seller and product before determining appropriate marketplace action.
13. Returns, Refunds & Damaged Products
Copyright complaints are separate from ordinary customer returns and refunds.
Customers requesting a refund or return because an item is damaged, defective or incorrect should email:

Gotorex may inspect the product and investigate with the applicable seller, supplier or carrier before determining eligibility.
The time required for inspection and resolution may vary depending on the product, seller and circumstances.
Any mandatory consumer cancellation, return, refund, replacement or other legal remedy remains unaffected.
14. Cooperation With Authorities
Where legally required or permitted, Gotorex may cooperate with courts, regulators, law-enforcement agencies, customs authorities, rights holders and other competent authorities concerning alleged intellectual-property infringement.
15. Changes to This Policy
Gotorex may update this Policy to reflect changes in applicable copyright laws, DMCA requirements, marketplace operations or legal requirements.
