Gotorex Seller Verification Policy

This Seller Verification Policy applies to all sellers registering or selling through www.gotorex.com, an international multi-seller marketplace operated from South Africa.

Gotorex uses seller verification measures designed to help maintain a trustworthy marketplace and reduce fraud, counterfeit products, unsafe products and unlawful activity.

1. Seller Information

Before or during registration, Gotorex may require sellers to provide:

• Legal name or registered business name;
• Residential or registered business address;
• Email address and telephone number;
• Government-issued identification where legally permitted;
• Business registration information where applicable;
• Tax or VAT information where applicable;
• Payment and payout information;
• Product and supplier information; and
• Other information reasonably necessary for verification and legal compliance.

The information requested may vary according to the seller, country, products offered and applicable legal requirements.

2. Verification Process

Gotorex may verify seller information using reasonable methods, including:

• Reviewing submitted documents;
• Verifying business registration information;
• Confirming contact information;
• Checking payment information;
• Reviewing product and supplier information;
• Conducting fraud and risk checks; and
• Using third-party verification services where legally permitted.

Verification does not constitute an endorsement, certification or guarantee of a seller or its products.

3. Accuracy & Updates

Sellers must provide accurate, complete and current information.

Sellers must promptly update Gotorex if important information changes, including:

• Business ownership;
• Legal name;
• Address;
• Contact information;
• Payment information;
• Business registration status; or
• Other information relevant to verification.

Providing false, misleading or fraudulent information may result in enforcement action.

4. Additional Verification

Gotorex may request additional verification at any time where reasonably necessary, including when:

• A seller's information cannot be verified;
• There are unusual transactions;
• Fraud is suspected;
• Customers report serious problems;
• Products appear unsafe or counterfeit;
• A seller's activities create legal or regulatory concerns;
• A seller changes important account information; or
• Applicable law requires additional verification.

A seller may be unable to list products or receive payouts until required verification is completed, where legally permitted.

5. Product & Supplier Verification

Gotorex may request information about products and suppliers, including:

• Manufacturer details;
• Supplier invoices;
• Proof of authenticity;
• Distribution authorisation;
• Safety certificates;
• Product certifications;
• Country of origin;
• Import/export documentation; and
• Other compliance information.

Sellers remain responsible for ensuring that their products are lawful, authentic and compliant with applicable requirements.

6. International Sellers

Sellers located outside South Africa may be required to provide additional information relevant to their country and intended markets.

Depending on the transaction, this may include information required for:

• Tax compliance;
• Customs;
• Import/export controls;
• Product safety;
• Consumer protection;
• Sanctions and trade restrictions; and
• Other applicable legal requirements.

A seller being successfully verified does not mean that every product it sells is automatically approved for every country.

7. Seller Verification & Privacy

Verification information may contain personal or business information.

Gotorex will process verification information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws.

Gotorex may share information with service providers, payment providers, verification providers, regulators or authorities where legally required or permitted and reasonably necessary for legitimate purposes.

8. Prohibited or Suspicious Activity

Gotorex may investigate sellers where there are reasonable indications of:

• Fraud;
• Identity misrepresentation;
• Counterfeit products;
• Intellectual-property infringement;
• Unsafe products;
• Money laundering or other financial crime;
• Sanctions violations;
• False product information;
• Manipulation of reviews or transactions;
• Unlawful activity; or
• Attempts to circumvent marketplace controls.

Where required or permitted by law, Gotorex may cooperate with competent authorities.

9. Verification Failure

If a seller cannot satisfactorily complete required verification, Gotorex may, where permitted by law:

• Prevent the seller from listing products;
• Restrict account functionality;
• Remove listings;
• Delay or hold payouts where legally permitted;
• Request additional documentation;
• Suspend the seller account; or
• Terminate marketplace access.

Where applicable law requires notice, reasons or an appeal process, Gotorex will provide the applicable procedure.

10. Seller Account Security

Sellers are responsible for protecting their account credentials and must notify Gotorex promptly if they suspect unauthorised access.

Sellers must not:

• Share accounts without authorisation;
• Create accounts using false identities;
• Use another person's identity;
• Circumvent account restrictions; or
• Provide fraudulent verification documents.

11. Reviews & Ongoing Monitoring

Verification is not a one-time guarantee.

Gotorex may conduct ongoing risk and compliance checks based on information such as:

• Customer complaints;
• Order activity;
• Product reports;
• Shipping performance;
• Refund and return patterns;
• Payment activity;
• Regulatory information; and
• Other legitimate marketplace-risk indicators.

12. Returns, Refunds & Damaged Products

Seller verification does not determine whether a customer's return or refund request is valid.

Customers should contact:

for eligible:

• Refund requests;
• Return requests;
• Cancellation requests;
• Damaged-product reports; or
• Incorrect-product reports.

Customers may be required to provide reasonable proof, including photographs, video and order information.

Gotorex may inspect the product and investigate with the seller, supplier or carrier before determining eligibility where permitted by law.

The time required for inspection and resolution may vary depending on the product, seller, evidence and circumstances.

Mandatory consumer rights and statutory remedies remain unaffected.

13. Shipping & Seller Information

Seller verification does not guarantee delivery speed.

Shipping times vary according to the seller, product, warehouse, destination and carrier.

Certain products may be delivered as quickly as 1–3 business days in countries such as the United States, while other products may take substantially longer.

Sellers must provide accurate shipping and delivery information.

14. No Guarantee of Seller Conduct

Verification means that Gotorex has completed the applicable verification process based on information available at the relevant time.

It does not guarantee:

• Seller performance;
• Product quality;
• Product authenticity in every case;
• Delivery times;
• Legal compliance in every jurisdiction; or
• The seller's future conduct.

Customers should review product and seller information before purchasing.

15. Changes to This Policy

Gotorex may update this Policy when its marketplace, verification procedures or legal requirements change.

The latest version will be published on www.gotorex.com.
